Against The Reign is a NY Power Groove Metal band hailing from the Capital District.

Founded and forged in hellfire in March 2024 out of Upstate NY. 

Once Against The Reign burst onto the Upstate NY metal scene, they quickly became a fan

favorite; known for powerful vocals, melodic riffs, lighting fast leads, and aggressive

drumming with impeccable and mesmerizing stick work. 

Individually, each member has nearly 30 years’ experience in the scene. 

Vocalist, Jason Seaman:

Stemming from a long line of family musicians, Jason has played in several cover bands while growing up on Long Island, where music was always an immense part of his life. An accomplished trumpeter, guitarist, and trained concert pianist, he never missed an opportunity to jam with friends and family. His musical influences are too vast to list, however, one thing is for certain..."Pure Fuckin' Metal Flows Through His Veins!" 

Drummer, Joe Reinitz: 

Joe has been around the local Upstate NY music scene for nearly 30 years. He is known for his work in bands like Infinity Remains, Crimson Mask, From Within, and Chronic Disorder.

Guitarist, Bryan Bishop: 

Bryan's love of metal started when he first heard Quiet Riot back in1984. He started playing guitar two years later and developed his aggressive guitar style in the bands Triple Entity and Sadistic Intent and playing bass in the bands, Vernicious Knid and Temper back around 2000. After a long military career, Bryan got back into playing seriously again in 2022, in the band, Vile Tyrant.

Guitarist, Shane Dobiesz:

Shane was raised in Ballston Spa, NY and started playing guitar around the age of 12. Early influences included Metallica, Queensryche, and Iron Maiden. He was the vocalist and played guitar in his first band XXX, out of Clifton Park during the Saratoga Winners days. After a brief hiatus, Shane played in DVS (Disturbing Visions of Sleep) In Oklahoma. He later formed Seeking Infinity (Infinity Remains) in Scotia, NY playing around the Capitol Region for almost 10 years.

Bassist, Steve Feith:

Steve started playing in 1987, being self taught. Biggest influences were Steve Harris, Cliff Burton, and DD Verni. Steve is a veteran of the local scene and has been performing for many years with bands such as Odium, CLOT, Choke On Your Teeth, Fit To Swing, and Hate The Adversary..

Against The Reign is not only known for their hauntingly melodic power grooves but also for

word-smithing cogent lyrics that captivate the listener.

Against The Reign is humbled to be a part of the Capital District music scene and

appreciates the multitudes of venues and promoters that have given us the opportunity to

share the stage with so many talented musicians/bands/friends! Much Respect!!
